McPherson Public Schools is pleased to announce that Ms. Meghan Mai was selected as the Elementary Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Mai serves as a Special Education teacher for 4th and 5th graders at Washington Elementary. When asked about this recognition, Ms. Jill Beam, principal, said "You will never find a more hard working teacher than Ms. Mai."
Building leaders each selected a nominee to represent their building and teachers across the district had the opportunity to vote for their choice for Teacher of the Year. Ms. Mai was the winner of that voting process and will go on to represent McPherson in competition with teachers from other Kansas schools as a part of the Kansas Teacher of the Year Program.
