McPherson Public Schools beat State average on Elementary ELA Assessments

Please join us in recognizing our students and staff in this notable success!

Kansas Assessment Program (KAP) provides general education assessments in several areas. It is a key standard for measuring school district performance, and McPherson Public Schools beat the state average for grades 3, 4, and 5 in English Language Arts for the first time at least since the implementation of the new format in 2015.

When asked about this success, the director of Curriculum, Brandi Martinez-McWilliams, said that she attributes this tremendous progress to the incredibly hard work of our teachers, staff, and administrators. They all worked hard to implement a viable ELA curriculum to ensure student success.  All of this highlights the importance of the curriculum process and the dedication of our teachers and staff.
